Wood and Wire

It's been five years now since Wood & Wire sprouted out of the rich musical soil of Austin, Texas. In that time, they've written music, recorded albums, and performed at some of the most notable festivals and venues across the country.

In the often tightly defined genre of bluegrass music, Wood & Wire's "band-style" ethos are not unheard of. Nor are the elements of song crafting, so often associated with their Texas home, that permeate their sound. That said, what comes out of the Wood & Wire blender is something entirely its own.

High Plains Traditions

High Plains Tradition started in 1987 when Kenny Pabst and Doug Elrick had just come off of a 1 year hiatus from playing music with the band "A Grain Of Salt".  Kenny and Doug talked about getting back to playing the music they love, Bluegrass, and playing in front of the best crowds music has to offer.  That is when Kenny and Doug got a hold of Steve Youngblood, an amazing left handed guitar player and singer, and Bob Grosser,  a fast-handed banjo player.  Thus was the beginning of High Plains Tradition.  Through several member changes and 30 years later, High Plains tradition has become a highly sought after band at festivals and concerts alike.

High Plains is blessed to have 5 members who all can sing and it is that which keeps ourfans coming back. Their Gospel Show has been known to bring not only band members to tears but also the fans in attendance. They are known to be quite a bunch of cut-ups on stage and fans have been heard saying, " You just don't know what's going to happen on stage with them boys.  They are just SO entertaining."  We hope you get the chance to see High Plains Tradition and we look forward to seeing Ya'll real soon.

High Plains Tradition has played in venues all across the western United States from California to Kentucky.  Their travels have also taken them to play festivals and events in Canada as well as 4 tours in Ireland.  Their music is rooted in the "Traditional" bluegrass with a flair of their own.

The 2 Lazy 2 Ranch Band

The 2 Lazy 2 Ranch Band is a local Tucson band formed in 2012. John Hall is the lead singer and guitar player. John is a farrier by trade.  For many years John has performed as a solo artist playing all the great classic country songs. His brother Joe Grizzle began his career as a bass player in rock bands, and then changed paths to serve the Lord and is now Pastor of the Rincon Valley Cowboy Church. He is known to most simply as "Pastor Joe." His love for the Lord is reflected in the gospel songs played by the band.Raytheon engineer Doug Sample shines on the mandolin bringing out the sweet melodies in all the songs the band plays.Dave Polston plays the 5 string banjo, striving to pick like the banjo god "Earl Scruggs".  Dave also gives lessons in banjo, dobro, and guitar. Along with traditional bluegrass, the band spins their unique sound to some of country music's all time classics to create what they call "cowgrass"

Jam Pack Blues N Grass Neighborhood Band

Since 1994 the Jam Pak Blues 'N' Grass Neighborhood Band has been
meeting weekly in Anni & Vincent Beach's home in Chandler, Arizona. Band
members, ages 5 - 90 practice singing and playing traditional bluegrass,
gospel and old time music.

It's been thrilling to see the progress of various children who, with no
particular musical background, have taken to bluegrass music and can play,
sing, "take breaks", keep the rhythm, learn by ear, and also play notes. More...
